HIYA Vitamins for your Toddler- what they don’t tell you!

We strive to be dye-free around our house or at least limit as much as we can. I see HIYA advertisements and most of my mama friends have chose this vitamin for their kiddo for the cleaner ingredients and limited sugar. Callan is not a sugar girl at all- no juice even! Only water and milk. I thought this would be a super easy sell for her and called it a snack to try and get her buy in. 5 seconds from taking it out of my hand, she promptly spits it out.

Now, they have killer first time customer deals, almost always 50% your first order, but after the first month, $30 for each of their options (pro biotic and sleepy time) adds up FAST. I reached out to their customer service to cancel and was pleasantly surprised with a few options for us!

Customer service offered…

  1. To send us all of the same flavor. Each color is actually a different flavor so if we could get her to like the pink, or the orange they would literally send us an entire pack of just those!
  2. Stick drink mix packets! This was actually the option I chose! They sent a 7 day trial (free of charge) because I wasn’t sold she would be excited about it due to the no juice thing… if she ended up liking it, they would send month supply for the time being– even suggesting mixing with yogurt or applesauce.
  3. Pause subscription and keep trying to see if she warms up to them.

I wish I could say there was a happier ending here, but unfortunately, we could not get her to chew the tabs or drink the water with the mix. HIYA cancelled our subscription so we could use another coupon code as a first time customer again when she’s ready!

Overall, I was SO impressed with the company and their customer service as well as the hidden options that I know cost them extra, but they were willing to accommodate because, well toddlers.
